Admission Requirements
Dickinson State University is a 4 year institution in Western North Dakota.
In order to gain acceptance, a student must submit the following:
1) Completed North Dakota University System (NDUS) application for admission and a one-time, non-refundable $35 application fee.
2) Official high school transcript showing a 2.0 or better GPA.
3) Scores from the ACT/SAT test. ACT score should be 18 or better. SAT score should be 950 or better (test taken after March 2016).
4) Immunization records for MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and Meningococcal Meningitis (after 16 years of age).
5) Completed College Preparatory Course Report form indicating the following will have been taken at the completion of your senior year:
- 4 Units English
- 3 Units Math (Algebra I and above)
- 3 Units Lab Science
- 3 Units Social Studies

Financial Aid Requirements
All students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) beginning on October 1. The priority deadline for FAFSA is April 15. Dickinson State's FAFSA Code is 002989. In order for a student to receive an award letter from Financial Aid, the student will have to be offered admission to Dickinson State University.
