Financial Aid Requirements
Although many people believe that the cost of an education is prohibitive, in reality, scholarships, grants, federal work-study programs and loans can make an NWCCD education very affordable. More than 65% of our students benefit from one or more of these programs. Financial aid eligibility is calculated by the Free Application for Federal Financial Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA determines the amount you and your family (if you’re considered a dependent student) can reasonably afford to pay toward your higher education costs. Financial need is the difference between the total cost of attendance (COA) for one year of studies and the federally calculated EFC (Estimated Family Contribution). Once you have been accepted we will design a financial aid package to help meet your needs, through a variety of federal, state, private and collegiate based sources.
