Admission Requirements
An applicant for admission must submit the following information to Enrollment Services:
1. An electronic application for admission with $35 application fee (non-refundable) is available.
2. A high school and/or college transcript or G.E.D. Official high school and college transcript must be sent directly from the granting institution. G.E.D. scores must be sent directly from the granting state’s Department of Public Instruction. Transcripts must be in the Enrollment Services office BEFORE a student is invited to register for classes.
3. The North Dakota University System requires applicants submit:
• A medical report including proof of immunization for measles, rubella, mumps and meningitis.
• An ACT or SAT score for applicants under age 25. Exemptions from this requirement include students who are:
• age 25 or older on the first day of class;
• from foreign countries; or
• transferring 24 or more semester credits acceptable at the receiving campus

Financial Aid Requirements
In order to receive federal, state or NDSCS-sponsored aid, a student must be working towards a degree or certificate in an eligible program. Federal regulations do not allow federal aid to be disbursed for repeated classes. Most federal aid require at least half-time active enrollment.
• Qualify for financial aid (except for certain loans)
• Have a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate, or pass a test approved by the U.S. Department of Education
• Have a valid Social Security Number
• Register with the Selective Service, if required (use the FAFSA to register or online at www.sss.gov)
• Certify that you are not in default on a federal student loan and do not owe money on a federal student grant
• Certify that you will use federal student aid only for educational purpose
Scholarships
Scholarship Requirements
Scholarships are available from a variety of sources; therefore, students need to be resourceful and initiate the process early each year. Typically, scholarship recipients are selected in the spring (February through May) for the upcoming academic year.
NDSCS Scholarship
NDSCS offers a general academic NDSCS Scholarship. You can automatically qualify if the following criteria are met:
An ACT score of 25 combined with a 3.6 GPA = $1,000
An ACT score in-between 22-25 with a GPA in the 3.2-3.6 range = $500
Returning students who have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher are especially encouraged to apply.
NDSCS Scholarship Applications are due February 1.
